Common Lower Back Pain issue

Common Lower Back Pain issue

As a therapist for more than 20 yrs, one common issue to encounter with my regular clients over and over is the lower back pain.

Lower back issue has different causes including a very common issue of disk compression around your L3 to L5 vertebrae caused by years of negligence to take care of your self. Disc compression is common due to daily activities that tighten and shorten up your lower extemety muscles including psoas minor and major muscles, iliacus and quadratus lumborum.

If these muscles are not stretched regularly, compression occurs therefore shorten your involved muscles and affects your lumbar vertebrae from L2 to L5 all the way to its surrounding area of iliosacral region and coccyx.

Therefore I encourage everyone to be pro active on stretching before and after workout or by the end of your long day at work. One must not ignore these for precautionary maintenance as it will save you from long term
chronic issues or "dis-ease".

Other disorders includes degenerative disc diseases, herniated discs, spondylothsthesis, spinal stenosis, fractures, and osteoporosis. Discovery of an underlying lumbar spinal disorder often begins from seeking relief from low back pain.
